Privacy policy

Last updated 23 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data Travel Addicted (traveladdictedblog.com) collects, why, and what your rights are. The site is run by João & Maria ("we", "us"). If you have a question about this policy, use our contact form.

What we collect

Visiting the site

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It does not use cookies, does not store your IP address, and does not identify you or follow you across other websites. It records anonymous data such as the page visited, the referring website, the country, and the browser and device type.

Contact form

If you send us a message, the form collects your name, email address and message. These are sent to us through Web3Forms, a form-processing service, which delivers them by email to the team that runs the site. We use them only to reply to you, and we don't add you to any mailing list.

Google Analytics (only if you accept)

If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure which pages are visited, how people arrive at the site and whether the contact form is used. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data such as your approximate location, device, browser and the pages you view. We use Google Consent Mode, so nothing is stored until you accept, and you can change your choice at any time in Cookie settings.

Who processes your data

  • Vercel Inc. hosts the website and provides the anonymous analytics.
  • Web3Forms processes contact-form messages and delivers them to us by email.
  • Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd provides Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.

These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under their own safeguards.

Why we process it

  • Anonymous statistics: our legitimate interest in understanding which guides are useful.
  • Contact messages: to answer the request you sent us.
  • Google Analytics: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep contact messages for as long as needed to deal with your request, and delete them within 12 months unless the conversation is ongoing. Vercel analytics data is aggregated and anonymous. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months, then deleted automatically.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. California residents have the right to know what personal information we hold and to ask us to delete it; we do not sell or share personal information. To make a request, use our contact form.

Links to other websites

Our guides link to rental companies, campsites and official sources. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave our site.
